Executive Director
Aldreka Everett
Aldreka Everett was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, but made Gainesville her home back in 2010 when she became a student at the University of Florida. During her time at UF, Aldreka became passionate about mentorship, education and mental health. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in English with minors in Educational Studies and Communication, Aldreka spent time working within the Gainesville community at Partnership for Strong Family and Greenhouse Church. During both of these experiences, she learned the value of investing in our community's most vulnerable population - youth. In 2021, Aldreka completed her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is now a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and is passionate about providing holistic, strength-based counseling and trauma-informed care. Aldreka owns and operates her own private counseling practice, Twenty Nine Eleven Youth and Family Counseling, working with students and parents in the Gainesville area.
As the Executive Director of Aces in Motion, Aldreka continues her commitment to serving the youth and families of Alachua County and hopes to evoke change that alters the course of this generation and those to come by providing holistic care through sports, academics, mental health care and mentorship. In her free time, Aldreka exerts all her extroverted energy on traveling, watching science fiction and action movies, cooking for her loved ones and spending time with her younger brother, Albert III, her mother and 5 nieces and nephews.
After-School Director
Casey Jones II
Casey Jones II was born and raised in Gainesville, FL, where he graduated from Eastside. He joined our team two years ago as a Middle School coach and currently serves as the After School Director for Aces In Motion. He is most passionate about leading youth from his community through mentorship and sports-based teamwork. He believes that the framework of Aces in Motion provides countless opportunities for youth to prosper. He knows from experience that a program like this can change lives for the better and hopes to do the same by giving all his energy and attention to the youth involved.
Mental Health Counselor
Eric Lanham
Eric Lanham is a graduate of the University of Kentucky ('08) with a B.A. in Philosophy & the University of Florida ('22) with an M.Ed./Ed.S. in Mental Health Counseling. Eric has been working in youth development on the Eastside of Gainesville for seven years. Mr. Lanham has clinical experience as a therapist at A. Quinn Jones School, Eastside High School, and UF Shands Psychiatric Hospital. Eric is also a phone volunteer and trainer for the Alachua County Crisis Center. Eric believes that healing happens in community and connection and that we must understand ourselves within the systems in which we live to grow. Eric has experience working with anxiety, depression, suicidality, anger, crisis intervention, life transitions, identity, neurodivergence, and family counseling. Eric practices primarily from a Relational Cultural Therapy perspective and uses existential, mindfulness, play, art, movement, narrative, CBT, and neuroscience-informed interventions.
College and Career Coordinator
Nasseeka Dennis
Nasseeka serves as the College and Career Coordinator for Aces In Motion and has served in various positions during her time here at AIM. Nasseeka is a double University of Florida graduate with a Bachelor's in Anthropology & African American Studies and a Master’s Degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences. Nasseeka has eight years of experience working with the east Gainesville community and has developed relationships and connections with the youth and their families. Over the years, Nasseeka has been able to connect with over 300 students ranging from kindergarten through college and has gained experience working with various ages and grades. Nasseeka also partners with various community organizations, including Dream On Purpose, Education Equalizers, and Open Door Ministries. Nasseeka credits her success and desire to advance in life to her mentors who poured wisdom, planted seeds of hope, and spoke life over her. Her desire is to do that for the participants of Aces In Motion continuously.
Marketing and Development Coordinator
Ariana Oliver
Ariana was raised in Gainesville, FL, and is currently matriculating her Bachelor of Science Degree in Family Youth and Community Sciences from the University of Florida with a double minor in Leadership and Nonprofit Organizational Leadership. Ariana is passionate about promoting equity, connection, and restoration. While at AIM, Ariana’s goal is to help AIM leverage its impact through development and marketing so that the organization can best serve its students.
Program Director
Alan Rosier
Alan Rosier, a native of the Tallahassee Florida area, has called Gainesville home for over two years, residing there with his wife and one of their seven adult children. Hailing from Wakulla High School, Alan boasts a rich athletic background, having excelled in four sports at the all-state level. He pursued higher education at Davidson College, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and later attained a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Florida State University.
Throughout his career, predominantly in the field of education, Alan has traversed five school districts across Florida, assuming various roles such as high school and elementary teacher, assistant principal, and principal at both high and middle school levels. Additionally, he has contributed as an IT director and a coach in football, basketball, and track. Beyond education, Alan brings experience in sales, marketing, and corporate training to the table.
Noteworthy highlights of Alan's journey include coaching an international basketball team at the World Scholar-Athlete Games in Providence, Rhode Island, and coaching four of his daughters in multiple sports. Known for his love of family, beach and mountain excursions, grilling, and avid support for the Golden State Warriors, Alan cherishes moments spent with his children and grandchildren.
Alan's passion lies in nurturing and empowering youth, drawing from his own upbringing in a blue-collar neighborhood where he witnessed peers succumb to adversity. Motivated by his parents' strong work ethic, he channels his childhood experiences into a drive to uplift and mentor today's youth. As the new Program Director of Aces in Motion, Alan pledges to leverage all available resources to steer the organization and its students towards success, embodying his lifelong dedication to youth development.
High School Director
Brillion Williams
Brillion Williams was born and raised in Gainesville, FL. She played collegiate basketball at Saint Leo University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English. Brillion has extensive experience working with youth and has previously worked for the School Board of Alachua County and the Department of Juvenile Justice. She is very passionate about working with youth by strengthening their skills in order to help them become successful members of society. Brillion currently serves as the High School Director at Aces In Motion. She aims to create a safe and secure environment for the youth by emphasizing the importance and power of participating in sports.
Interim Middle School Director
Charles Pilkey
Charles Pilkey, or 'Coach Chaz' as his students know him, is from Sarasota, Florida and has been an avid educator for over 6 years, and in a variety of different countries. From professional schools, to non-for profit programs, and volunteer projects across four continents, his variety of experiences have provided him with a worldly and culturally sensitive approach to education. With specializations in; Teaching English as a Second Language, Test Preparation, English for use in Business, and Athletics, he has developed a teaching methodology of clear communication and positivity that can help students of all levels excel. Charles is the Current Interim Middle School Director at Aces in Motion, where his goals are to improve student literacy and to help young students explore creative and athletic passions in a safe and supportive environment.
Academic and Volunteer Coordinator
Amoya Rose
Amoya Rose serves as the Academic and Volunteer coordinator for Aces in Motion. Amoya graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Behavior. Amoya’s love for the holistic care of children has lead her to work at Aces in Motion. She believes that knowledge is power and strives to assist students in their academic endeavors.
