Full Strength

Mental Health Counseling Program

Full Strength is the mental health counseling program, serving students from both Aces in Motion and Kids Count  in Alachua County. Our goal is to provide on-site mental health services to students in need. AIM Full Strength is dedicated to equitable access to mental health support and services that our community deserves. Full Strength does so by supporting the whole athlete and their family through the following services at no cost with enrollment to AIM:

  • Provide access to mental health assessment and treatment and ensure services by offering them in school or at the after school program

  • Program-wide childhood trauma screening

  • Provide mental health support for students facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, identity, life transitions, family or relationship problems, crisis/safety concerns, behavior/conduct problems, and trauma-related symptomatology.

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy in addition to mental health consultation

  • Provide referrals to other services for students when necessary

  • Train staff in identifying and referring emerging mental health concerns

  • Train staff in child development, trauma-informed care, brain science and behavior, and other relevant youth development topics

  • Brief mental health interventions and processing for staff
